Moses Basket Bedding
There's a whole host of items you can choose when it comes to bedding for your moses basket to keep your baby warm and snug at bedtime and all through the night (and day time when travelling). When purchasing bedding make sure that it's machine washable and can go into the tumble dryer as the last thing you want is to be hand washing everything and leaving it to dry on radiators!
Bedding Sheets, Mattresses and Blankets
The most popular way of getting bedding is to buy sets which will include cotton sheets and blankets (you'll need to buy mattresses separately). Most are standard sizes
and will fit all types of moses baskets.
Choose a color that's right for you and all colors are available including white, cream, blue and yellow.
You could also use a baby sleeping bag or a quilt rather than traditional sheets - whatever is right for your circumstances.
It's probably always best to buy new bedding rather than second hand. Bedding is cheap although of course your baby will only likely use their moses basket until they are 4 or 5 months old so there's no need to go over the top!
You can choose from fitted sheets, flat sheets and fleece blankets and in all types of design from Winnie the Poo (which is very popular) to Humphrey's Corner and other disney characters so your baby can have its own designer bedding.
How Much Bedding Should You Use ?
You don't need to wrap baby up too much as it's better that he is slightly colder and cries for more warmth than for the baby to be too warm which poses the risk of cot death. You can easily add layers as required. Check the tog rating for quilts to see how much you need. It may be trial and error until your baby is comfortable.
It's probably best to have a few sets so that you have spare blankets and sheets whilst others are being washed.

Of course you can get your moses basket bedding from any high street baby retailer and they are cheap so the world is your oyster. As mentioned above just make sure they are machine washable and of reasonable quality - best to get cotton sheets to avoid any reactions to the fabric.
